This took 4 years to make, id could make it in a day.

I cannot believe that, even if you had the vice Sloth itself filming this movie it is not possible to film a movie of this caliber in any more than a few days. Is that a typo, and is it supposed to be filmed in 4 days, wow just wow.

if you watched the Making-Of docu on the disc (or google Dead Wood) you will see that this movie is not just a low buget flick, but a NO buget movie.

there is an interview out there where one of the 3 directers said that the funding for this movie was whatever each of them had in thier pockets that day. it took a while, but you have to realize that this movie was made with no finacial backing from a production company. there was no crew, there were no producers. the three directors did EVERYTHING! wrote the script, light the set, dressed the sets, wardrobe, catering, shooting, driving the actors to the shoot, etc etc.

it actually turned out quite nicely! other movies have been released that were made with ALOT more money and looked way worse than this.

you do realize instead of coming to their defense you made the situation even worse by pointing out it took 3 people to direct this, it probably take all of these people involved like 7 people to figure out how to breath air

look the shooting could have been done in a day using an sd card in a digital camcorder, then all thats left is some editing software which if its really good probably cost a few hundred bucks, the only really problem is getting someone to actually distribute the film

yeah there was 3 directors, but thats the entire crew! if you know anything about filmmaking, you would know that to make any film there is a crew needed. it took a while because this isnt a blockbuster production. these directors and actors all had day jobs and sometimes couldnt be there together at all times.

yeah an SD card and a digital cam could do things really fast and shot, but then what do you have? a youtube film. if you want a film in theaters, you cant lose the audience in what the film looks like (unless its BlairWitch or Paranormal Activity, but that in itself is a gimmick) film takes time.

im not arguing, and im not praising this film as The Godfather or whatever, but its not a bad movie and not anywhere near as bad as people make it out to be!

oh and as for getting someone to distribute it, Lions Gate came to them for distribution after it won 6 awards in the festival circit

its easier to judge a movie by saying, 'oh my 2 year old can make a better movie' filmmaking is quite a difficult task, and when you realize that, you will appreacite the most low budget films.
