Just want to get the ball rolling here for Martha Speaks-
A smartly done and adorable new show, aiming to expand kids' vocabulary by introducing new words.
Maybe more children's programming could have this sort of teaching angle-instead of just being pretty colors, kids could actually learn something from the program.
Seems like only on Public Television do you see this concept implemented in the programming-

I agree. This is one of the best children's programs I've seen in a long while. Much better than the monster/robot/superhero drivel on Saturday morning network TV.
Kudos to PBS for raising the bar back up. Martha rocks.
I agree; this ranks among the best and most interesting children's shows on. It's intelligent, witty, clever, and doesn't insult kids but actually teaches them quite a lot of valuable stuff! The theme song is ingenious (no surprise that it was written by the same man responsible for the music of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic!) The show's perfectly enjoyable for adults as well as kids, with hilarious and adorable characters (human and canine)...excellent voice work, especially on Martha!...and a whimsical, fun drawing and animation style based upon the original storybook illustrations.
