For a B movie I really liked this film.. But, what happens in the end with Eddie? Does he kills that dude with the sneaker fetish or does he commit suicide? (there is only one shot fired)

shareIt's a bit double what I can tell from the ending... Eddie says "Don't worry about me" and in the very end they show a close-up of his army photo while his dad cries. (Eddie is also depressed and has PTSD)
So, how can you tell if he's in prison or commited suicide?
btw.. how they made/captured the scene where he has a PTSD "attack" is pretty thrilling and awesome! (Not that PTSD is awesome off course!) But when watching a documentary on PTSD you can't really tell what happens to someone who has PTSD, that scene really gave me insight.
