To the guy who posted the review -- chrismichaeld

I don't know why, but I really feel the need to point out a couple things about your review that are baseless.

Here is what you stated:

"Even advertising this show during South park will not save this show from it's inevitable cancellation. The show is not funny, the content is not funny, the writing is not funny, and the stars of the show are just annoying. Comedy Central really failed with this one for a few reason's. Totally unoriginal content being portrayed by comedian's who do food commercials is fail. After giving us comedy staples such as South Park, Reno 911, John Stewart, Steven Colbert, and the most recent success of Sarah Silverman they give us this? Give the show two months and gone. Don't waste your time here. If this is Comedy Central's response to "Tim and Eric's Awesome Show Great Job" they are way off. "

OK, dude - first of all, Michael Ian Black and Michael Showalter were two stars of MTV's "The State" which premiered in 1993, and is quite possibly responsible for the introduction of your beloved original programming to Comedy Central (which is part of MTV Networks). You should know "The State" - three stars from Reno 911 were on it, too. So, do your research before you call these guys "comedian's who do food commercials". And, by the way, "comedian's" needs no apostrophe here, as it's not possessive.

Idiot.

"Sarah Silverman" better than this?!?! Wow... not quite.

""If this is Comedy Central's response to "Tim and Eric's Awesome Show Great Job" "

Why would it be a response to that show? It's NOTHING like Tim and Eric... I'm not even sure why you would think it's trying to be... It's not even close to the same type of show.

Total FAIL at a review....

"reason's" and "it's" : they're not possessive, idiot.

reply

It's = it is
Its = possessive form of it

Good try.

I just didn't like the show. Granted, it is probably better than many other shows out there.

Honestly, I wouldn't get too worked up from all of the hate coming from MMHI. You don't really even need to look closely for a pattern in where in all of the comments talking about why its "not funny" they tend to mention a different show, or comedian funnier than Michael Showalter or Michael Black.

For example this reviewer mentions "Sarah Silverman." Maybe I'm just generalizing, but I'm not aware of many people who find Sarah Silverman AND Michael Ian Black funny (I guess technically, she IS often categorized as "Odd comedy" or "absurdest humor" but its all poop jokes to me.) And I caught how ridiclous that comment about Reno 911 was in the review while reading it. Made me laugh a little since they're the same genre of comedy.

In the review on the actual show's site, the reviewer talks about why the show should be canceled. He mentions Katt Williams as being far more talented then Michael and Michael. Not much else to be said about that. I think you get it.

Lastly, many, many, many people mention Carlos Mencia and Dane Cook when bashing the show, so its not like the intellectuals hate the show, only some.

Yes "The State" had some hilarious people on it. Michael Ian Black was not one of them.

I cannot understand why Black continues to get shows. He's just not funny. His shows are just awful. First "Stella," a complete abomination of comedy and television, and now this garbage? If MIB can continue to get paid to pretend to be funny, anybody can succeed in comedy.
