Not the first time this has been asked, but...

...when will it be shown in the UK?

I've been looking everywhere to find out and there's nothing. Some comments that it will be "early 2010", but does anyone have any idea exactly when?

I, too, was looking forward to seeing how creative minds could update the enjoyable and intriguing original Prisoner. Instead what you get is a painfully slow, mind-numbingly boring, jumbled mess that looks like it was shot by Yoko Ono and has practically nothing to do with the original. If I'd known then what I know now, I'd have skipped this POS.

Hey HALs_eyeball -- teh interwebs mean you don't necessarily have to wait for a (UK) territorial broadcast executive to choose to buy in a series you want to watch. For instance, I'm watching "The Prisoner" (2009) on my computer, after downloading via the BitTorrent protocol.

All that's needed is...
• a free BitTorrent client
» I'd suggest Vuze -- http://www.vuze.com
» others are also available -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_BitTorrent_Clients
• a free multi-format video player application
» I'd suggest VLC -- http://www.videolan.org
» others are also available -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_video_player_software

Then just use your chosen BitTorrent client's search field to look for...
The Prisoner 2009
..., download each part, watch, share and enjoy.

Hope this helps yourself and others,

Hi Dalinian, I tried this but my old computer can't handle the downloads. Either that, or I did something wrong! Hey ho.

I'm quite embarrassed to say that in desperation I emailed ITV (the UK TV channel that part-financed The Prisoner) and asked them directly. In true Adrian Mole style!! They sent a very nice reply, very polite, but didn't tell me anything new.

"At present we do not have any confirmed schedule information regarding the remake of The Prisoner.
Early indications are that it will be included in the spring schedules.
May I take this opportunity to thank you for contacting ITV."

Or, to put it another way: stop being a pain, you'll get the chance to see it one day, now push off saddo. OK, I can take a hint!
