I think these kind of movies movies are partially (secretly) financed by HBO & Showtime, since all they're good for is filling up time slots.
It's a lot cheaper to show just 3-4 top movies a year, with 30 flicks of this dreckitude, than to have to license a bunch of actual, top-shelf movies.
I get HBO, Showtime, Stars, etc etc and I still never see 2/3 of the best movies that come out, unless I download them.
