This start and looks like a tv show(like primeval and Torchwood etc...)

It was a pilot.

Yeah i was confused by the way the opening credits just started so suddenly; in a flash.

It looks a lot like a TV show.
The way the opening credits just started straight away.
Also, the way that it was set up to have a story continue going after this "movie" was finished
