How about - no Amitabh scene, Roshan dies, Atul Kulkarni makes the final comment and the film ends?
This ending sounds better.. but even then it won't come even close to Dil Se..

Well, to paraphrase a famous Indian star: "Rang De Basanti just didn't work for me".

I honestly found it to be much better than Rang De Basanti.I agree, the screenplay was overall much, much better and tighter than in Rang De Basanti. That's why I think it's so sad that it kind of derails at the end of Delhi 6, and now I can't rate it higher than Rang De Basanti. But it was much more watchable than Rang De Basanti, which had many scenes that I think could've been easily cut to make it more to-the-point. Delhi 6 was better in that department. share

After 10 mins in the movie, one knew:
1. Aamir Khan would win the match by hitting a 6
2. He would definitely get the girl
3. He (being the HERO of the film) would solve the Dalit/Brahmin and the Hindu/Muslim issues
4. British team would be BAD, Indian team would be GOOD ... and the director would make every attempt to get the morons in the audience all excited and clapping at the expense of the British.
5. Every problem will be solved in the end and everyone will live happily ever after.
hmm... lets make it "one of the best hindi movies like dil se"
coz Swades was really good and better i feel.
about delhi 6...
ROMP has this habit of ruining the endings... hmm, maybe i should write them... anyway,
. the plot went at a frantic pace an the end
. the emotions fluctuated was too soon at the end
. no amitabh scene... yes
. the plot of "saving one's love" and "saving ones community" should have been at different timelines (maybe 'community' then 'love')
. the solution to the problem was not 'death of an innocent' or 'death of the reformer'... hence Roshan shouldn't die. but it should have been more positive.
This was really bad, i thought it will be much better!
The plot was to weak, everything else was just boring. Rang de basanti was much better! And this movie ain't 1% of Dil Se so please stop comparing. It failed big time, only good thing in this movie is when they show how stupid hindi people are.

shareAre you kiddin me? What was not good in dil se? Give me some examples? That movie in one of the best hindi flicks ever made. And SRK for the first time acted really good. Nowadays, he just makes crappy flicks with Karan johar and Farah Khan which is the crappiest directors in India.
