I'm serious.

If the storyline wasn't so completely ridiculous (why is a midget even necessary?), and R. Kelly had kept the rythym flowing smoothly without those odd run-ons, it wouldn't be as god awful as everyone's made it out to be.

Anyone agree? Or is the whole idea of it as a piece of art ridiculous to begin with?

I'm pretty sure it's just supposed to be comedy, as there's an amusing sense of irony running throughout the whole thing. If it's not supposed to be funny... wow.
