gogol bordello

I love this band and i was wondering from who ever has seen it how Eugene Huntz performance is. From the trailer it looks like he did really well.

could be the only redeeming quality in this movie...which is the only reason i saw it. Eugene is the man

reply

I will see it strictly because of Hutz too! He's in the Liev Schreiber directed Everything Is Illuminated with Elijah Wood, and STEALS the show!!! It loses some momentum around the halfway point, but it's a good film over all, and the first half is pure GENIUS!

they are AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG LIVE. THEYRE TOURING NOW. GET TIX ASAP

I'm not sure why Madonna keeps trotting out these repulsive, filthy, homeless-looking, howling, shrieking grubs. I wish she'd stop bringing them out into the mainstream.

someones jealous!!!
Eugene rockzzzzzzzzz

reply

You think? LOL.
He's a really good artist. I almost forgot Elijah Wood was in Illuminated, even when Elijah is an award-winning pro and he's an amateur actor. Alex (the character) is also very different from him in real life, too.

reply

I'd rather shriek and howl with my homeless-looking grubs than be within ten feet of pricks like you any day. I sincerely hope you go bankrupt and are forced to live on the streets some day; maybe it'll force you to pull the stick out of your rear and eat it.

He is also in Everything is Illuminated, a truly amazing film. Excellent writing, performances and world class cinematography courtesy of Mathew Litabique.

there isn't much gogol bordello in the film :( some songs but them performing is a small portion.

reply

I saw this film ONLY because of Gogol Bordello and Eugene Hütz :P I've loved that band for years.

But I must say I quite liked the movie, at least I was pleasntly surprised, it could have been awful but it wasn't.

reply

That dude is a genius for associating himself so closely with movies. Before "Wristcutters" I'd never heard of him or Gogol Bordello. Now, I love their music.

reply

Wristcutters introduced me to Gogol Bordello also. I LOVE their music and Eugene was great in the movie. I saw Everything is Illuminated years ago and didn't even realize that Eugene was the same guy. I bought Filth and Wisdom solely for Gogol Bordello. Haven't had the chance to watch it yet though.

reply

anyone know what the name of the song he performs at the end is?

reply

"My Strange Uncles From Abroad" from Super Taranta!, but there's another version that's on East Infection.
