How come child soldiers so 'muscular'?

Every rebel soldier in Johnny Mad Dog is kind of "muscular". I think they must be really skinny, small,... instead?

Well, apart from Johnny (who was older than the rest of his team), they didn't seemed that 'muscular' to me. On the other hand, I remarked a small mistake:

Those blue berets... They had AK-47, just like the child soldier...
I don't think they had budget for a wide variety of weapon tough.

These are the guys with guns who take what they want not the starving kids living on the streets. You saw them steal a man's goat for example.

They eat well and get plenty of exercise. Whay would they be skinny and small?

I'm sure it was a pig, or did they steal a goat too and I missed it?
