Feel Free to Comment - *Spoilers* - may be welcome

The main issue that I have with the film is the lightly framed screenplay which gives rise IMO to rather odd occurrences.

Thommo the truckie has been shot in the shoulder, but luckily found by Mal, who initially tells Roscoe that he's OK. But then the Flying Doctor (well known in outback Australia) doesn't appear to be contacted on the radio, Mal doesn't drive Thommo's rig or transfer him to Mal's rig and basically let's him just bleed out and die still sitting/lying in his truck. With friends like Mal no wonder Thommo needs avenging angels like Roscoe.

Could someone please explain how Roscoe has caught up to the red falcon who had 2 days start on him and is clearly hundreds of kilometres away, in what appears to be a couple of hours? There was mention of a helicopter early in the film I believe, but outback coppers such as Roscoe don't usually have access to them and there's no evidence he used one any way.

While we're on Roscoe, is it just a coincidence that he happened to have laid his ambush at the same destination to which John's "coordinates" had led Eli and himself?

Did we ever find any thing out about why presumably a city-based mob, would want Eli taken for supposed gambling debts to wherever they ended up ?

Won't even bother raising questions about outback justice and Roscoe clearly not wanting to take up the court's time on matters legal or otherwise.
