Kid Nation 2 could be a possibility!!!

According to the official Kid Nation page at mySpace.com the petition (found here http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/kid-nation-2.html ) to petition CBS to make a Kid Nation 2 requires 10,000 signatures to make it legal. The Kid Nation page also says one of the main reasons for not making a Kid Nation 2 was "The show wasn't attracting enough advertisers to it so therefore wasn't making enough money." There is no reason why we should not get enough people to sign the petition so that CBS might consider giving it another chance, or even making it for DVD. Advertisers might consider advertising with the show if they knew how many people liked that show. If people show that much interest they might at least put season 1 on DVD. Show your support for Kid Nation by signing the petition.

What does that mean, "to make it legal?" CBS isn't required to make a Kid Nation 2, no matter how many signatures there are. And, they can make a Kid Nation 2 with five signatures, or none, if they want to (and can deal with child labor laws and the like).

Of course, my own current notion for a reality show could never, ever be done, probably not even in Japan.

Interesting, according to an online article on yahoo, they did film a S2 of Kid Nation, but never aired it.

There was never a KN2 filmed. This rumor got started because one of the "Kid Nation" camera operators maintained a KN-oriented website (for a couple of years after the show aired) in which he and some of the actual KN kids who posted there answered some "behind the scenes" questions.
Because so many kids wrote him (the camera operator) and begged him to get them on the show, he posted a long article on the message board telling everyone that KN2 had already been filmed and there was no need to write him any more notes asking him to get them on the show. Several members of the message board...being big fans of the show...posted that information on the other main sites, including both IMDb and the CBS board, and that false claim just went viral.

According to information posted by Jonathan Karsh on his MySpace fan page, he stated that there would be no KN2 because there were not enough potential advertisers to justify filming it, and because the production company did not get enough "applications" from kids wanting to be on the show. (I personally do not believe that about the applications, but that's just one person's opinion.)
