it was truly a horrible movie. Nonstop crying and yelling and shaky cam...I cant believe my film prof showed me this nonsense.

Disagree. Realistic portrayals of terrified people in an unknown situation. Screaming, crying, and swearing should be constant.
Sorry you didn’t find as much to admire in this as most viewers have. I do agree that 28 Days Later is a great film. Two different types of films though..
This, if a person compares this film to what 28 Days Later achieved, it's obviously going to fail.
This movie is one of the best found footage films imo (acting, cinematography, pacing, etc). If one doesn't care for found footage films, then this movie is gonna be bad in their eyes.

this is one of the most effective horror films of the last 20 years in my books.
the ending of this film is the only thing that's truly terrified the adult me.
I ENJOY THE FILM AND FEEL IT REPRESENTS HUMAN EMOTION PRETTY HONESTLY.
