REC vs Quarantine

I know that Quarantine is the American remake & they both similar to each other, but are there any differences between these movies though

The plots near enough the same. However in my opinion Rec is FAR more terrifying. It feels so real which is something I didn't get from Quarentine.

I think [Rec] is much better than Quarantine. But as far as plot goes, it's almost the same, beat-for-beat. There's a couple extra "details" that Quarantine has that's not found in the original, but it's really minor.

That's what I felt too. [Rec] felt more real, which made it more terrifying. The camera shakes more in Quarantine, and the director chose to dim the lights of the apartment complex a lot (technically more realistic when the power goes out, but also way too hard to see what's going on). You got to know the victims more in [Rec] because you can actually see and identify them better, and they're all framed in a clear way, while still retaining that spontaneous "documentary feel." I also think the acting in [Rec] is better -- arguments and mental breakdowns feel tense and convincing. Quarantine felt a little too slick and rehearsed.

I was surprised to discover that a lot of the actors in Rec had never acted before. They were naturals.

there's little difference plot-wise as i recall, but i haven't watched quarantine since it came out & i cant really see myself going back to it.

i thought rec was approximately 8 billion times more frightening than the remake.

i'm not opposed to remakes. i think there have been some good ones. not this one, though, imo.
