Never walked out of a movie I paid for before but...

I have never left a movie that I paid for before and I love both Gerard and Jennifer, but this movie sucked so bad that I was too painful for me to sit there any longer. It was simply not funny. There was absolutely nothing comedic about it. The only parts remotely funny were those seen in the previews.

Hence the low rating and low box office.
Aniston movies should be outlawed.

I overheard a woman @ an italian restaurant saying to her table that her 7 her husband walked out of this, that she "should have known it was going to be bad when it starred Jennifer Aniston"
another lady said "how does she get all these parts!"
I havent seen it
dont plan to

reply

Gee, the movie was not that bad. wtf people? Its just an easy movie to watch, nothing spectacular but so what? That latest Adam Sandler movie that took a day and a half to watch was wayy worse.

Anyways, the only movie i've ever walked out on was Cursed. I saw the beginning like a million time afterwards before i finally decided to watch it all the way through lol.

I don't eat animals. =D Woo.

I just walked out of it tonight. I really, really tried to finish it, but it was getting really painful, and it seemed like it had at least half an hour to go. I kind of like JA, and Butler is okay when he's not screaming "Sparta!" And the trailer was funny. But I now know that the trailer is a huge improvement on the movie; it found all the funny bits, edited them down so that they were actually funny instead of just hanging there, and paced the whole thing really well. The movie makers could learn a lot from the people who made the trailer.

Yea aniston's hotness couldn't save this film. All the world needs now is a aniston nick cage movie about vampire penguins who attack a brazilian family living in detroit.

Kinda cheap to bash Jennifer Aniston with a reference from one of her freakin' movies. Just sayin'.

I just came here in hope people didnt think this was great. I walked out too. It felt like a comedy with no jokes.

I feel badly for anyone that spent money on this movie. Or didn't get a refund.

I was lucky that I didn't have to pay to see this movie. I got in for free because I work at the theater it was playing at. The movie started out rather strong but lost momentum as it went on. It really wasn't funny.

reply

There was ONE funny part. When Butler said he was going to
shoot a cab driver and all the cab driver locked their doors.
THAT was the one and only FUNNY bit in the whole movie.

It was terribly contrived movie, not funny at all and most
definitely pure formula writing. Its like they said ok we
want to put Jennifer Aniston and Butler together for a movie
and then wrote it.

Although, I will say Anniston is gorgeous. Much more so than
Angelina, Julie Roberts, Bullock, etc, etc in her age bracket.
She is just not getting the kind of parts that they do. Too
bad.

reply

Um..Angelina Jolie isn't in Aniston's age bracket. Jolie is only 34.
Aniston, Bullock, and Roberts are all in the same age group of 40-somethings.

Anyways, Bullock and Roberts are both Oscar winning actresses, because they aren't typecasted in romantic comedies. Bullock can do Miss Congeniality, but she can also be taken seriously in films like Crash and Infamous. Aniston is afraid to change her hairstyle, so why would she risk changing character?

I read your comment after watching the trailer, which looks very funny.

Still gunna go see the movie tbh.

I wanted to walk out of this film. I was with a friend so i didn't. I really don't think it's the actors fault here it's just a stupid story and a bad script.
You can tell they have tried to borrow from Midnight Run (1988) Hollywood doesn't care it still made money I'm sure.
