Very powerful Dramatic thriller

This is the best film I have seen in a very long time. It deals with a very sensitive topic of racial profiling since the terrorist attacks in our society today and asks some every important questions. Its a balanced film that leaves the audience to come up with the answer.

The film offers very dredible and memorable performances from Naseeruddin Shah and Om Puri. Greta Scacchi, Ralph Ineson, Brian Cox and Laila Rouass also deliver fine performances.
Over all it is an excellent film.

I wouldn't go so far as to calling this an excellent film. The script was shoddy, and at points, so was the acting.

Most prominently, Naseeruddin Shah, who can not seem to maintain a constant accent through the movie. At points he loses balance in an overtly cockney accent, and at times speaks with a totally unaccented tongue.

I agree. Contrived. Full of cliches. Awful acting and scenario, made for tv audience.

I've never bothered saying this before on IMDb, it's become a common reply to positive reviews -- but this comment simply *must* have been written by a crew-member or promotor connected to the movie.

"Shoot on Sight" is one long, low-budget cliché, with (mostly) apallingly bad acting and a screenplay that defies belief.

I suspect most of the movie's budget went into hiring Brian Cox.

Or perhaps they simply had a spectacular catering service.

Bad Bad Bad....this film was a waste of time and money.....bad acting, bad everything...cannot find say positive thing about it

Come on now...I can see some of the flaws now that they've been pointed out, but the movie isn't that bad. I found it to be very watchable, engaging and thought-provoking. It has given me a lot to think about, and wasn't that the point of the film? So what if it's not big-budget Hollywood?
