Prophecy all over again...

After seeing this film, I'm reminded of the film Prophecy with Christopher Walken. The only difference with these two films is Legion doesn't present Satan in the plot as opposed to Prophecy. In Legion, Satan isn't even mentioned in the plot. I did enjoy this film though. I just find it too similar to Prophecy.

Its like "Terminator assault on Prophecy 13"

I'm feeling that analogy right now! LOL When one thinks about it, that's a good way of describing this film.

i personally thought that Prophecy was better.
are you going to bark all day little doggie,, or are you going to bite

Prophecy is exactly the film that came to mind while watching this film.

Glad I'm not the only one who felt that way. This was a feeble rip-off where they just wanted to capture what they did in The Prophecy, put it on steroids and turn it into a cheesy action film.

Fun fact:
The Prophecy originally had Dennis Quaid cast in the role of Gabriel before Christopher Walken stepped-in... just more proof that Legion was feeding on the leftovers of the Prophecy even besides the similar storyline.
Man, that would've been a completely different movie without Walken(and not as good either). Just glad The Prophecy made the choices it did, as it's a far more superior movie and still remains one of my all-time faves. :)

I just watched this for the first time and thought the same thing. Prophecy was such a good film, especially when compared to this one.

Yep... even with "The PROPHECY" having a budget that's probably the size of the catering costs of this movie, it still managed to be far superior. Going to show that a bigger budget and visual effects don't mean squat when it comes to a good story.

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed Legion for what it was(mindless fun), but will always watch and prefer the Prophecy way more. Too bad I can't say the same about the sequels to The Prophecy. ;) God, how I wish those would have been better flicks.
