They should have made her Leona instead of Mai. Also her personality in the movie would have been more suitable for Leona than Mai.
Since they made Mai Iori's boyfriend in the movie (like wtf??!!) they COULD have just made her Leona instead, since it's been something that many kof nerds writing fan fics have often created that Iori and Leona would be a good couple since they're both unwilling inheritors of Orochi Blood and have alot of personality traits and issues in common.
Mai & Iori as a couple was quiet funny...perhaps the movie had it's humour changing the personalality in characters. Vice & Mature as lovers was mature for minors but I guess Rugal had "personal interest" why he thought they'd make a "Special team".
