Who SHOULD have been casted as Terry Bogard?

I was not very pleased with the casting of Terry Bogard for the KOF movie, and after seeing the behind the scenes footage, I am beyond PISSED that they have completely screwed up his characters (I'm also upset about Kyo and Mai...shudders) but Terry Bogard....a CIA agent?!? And from the footage he was completely getting his ass kicked. The vest sucked and worse....no hat?! WTF!! Terry "Hungry Wolf" Bogard has been one of my favorite video game character since the first Fatal Fury game, and the Terry Bogard of this live-action KOF is NO Hungry Wolf!!

Now that I've got that out of my system....who do you guys think they SHOULD have casted as Terry Bogard?

Personally I'd rather have a stunt guy like the one they casted. At least it shows they're serious about having fighting in a movie based on a fighting game.

Yes, but the guy they casted is too old and doesn't have the look at all. Ask any of the fans.

They want to see Terry Bogard as they remember him: with the trucker hat, the ponytail, the sleveless denim jacket, just go the whole nine with it, the fans would love it.

None of this "subtle reference" crap with the costuming, just go full on. Making Terry a CIA agent is about as wrong as can be. He's a man of the people, poor, struggling to get by day by day but possesses incredible power. In essence, along the lines of Spider-Man or other working class heroes..he could be that relateable.

And that's the real failure. Not the casting. The Writing. They destroyed one of the few fighting game characters with a lot of charm, appeal, and originality.

....and yes it sucks that he looked like he was getting his ass kicked in the footage they showed (he can't even fight well?!?!?!)

Here's what I would've done:
Terry is clearly the most popular KOF character in North America, and Kyo isn't supposed to be white. By casting what they did, they totally sh!t on the fans of the KOF franchise. So why don't we do something to make everyone happy?

1. Increase Terry Bogard's importance in the storyline to the point where he's one of the leads, and make him the proud hungry fighter he's supposed to be.
2. Cast Sean Faris as Terry if you're so intent on having a white lead
3. Cast an actual asian actor as Kyo.
4. Disembowel the Director and Producers of this crap... oh wait, sorry. That wouldn't be necessary if this was actually done right.

I agree with King Kai. Terry Bogard was SNK'S first original fighting game hero(some people do seem to forget that)and he was the champion of the first two KOF tournaments before Kyo Kusanagi's a$$ was ever known. KOF started with him in HIS GAME Fatal Fury.

I saw the clip of this person playing Terry getting his a$$ whupped and I thought WTF?! Bogard is known for his amazing brawling plus various martial arts he learned as a child surviving on the mean streets of southtown. I agree the guy playing him looks like a nerd...well to me.

Also I hear that Terry should play a more important role in this flick....I agree. Though if you look at KOF's previous storyline's, the lone wolf does jack *beep* while Kyo,Iori beat the boss for the umpteeth time. I do hate Kyo and Iori by the way and have been a Terry fan and supporter ever since 91 when the first Fatal Fury game came out.

I agree with Paul Walker by the way.

It's good to know there are people who still remember the Fatal Fury series and recognize Terry Bogard as the original "King of Fighters."

You DAMN RIGHT my man and it's good to see others and most of the fighting game fanbase agree and that Terry is the heart of SNK not Kyo. It's still a a crime how Kyo got to be paired with and considered Ryu's equal(shudders)

Loren Avedon is Terry Bogard. Sure he's older now but I would seriously have made teh story fit around an older Terry acting as a mentor perhaps?
