The Ending SUCKED!

What had the potential for a great movie ended up feeling rushed and hokey at the end. I FEEL SO ROBBED!! There were some great characters introduced, the setting was perfect and then we get taken on this roller coaster ride of drama, surprises and near misses only to have one of the dumbest endings/cliffhangers ever. I mean, after Jeffrey killed Gladys by accident, we're left to wonder if he's lost his marbles and is going to kill Nikki too or if he frees her and they all live happily ever after. And did the creepy super kill Max the pooch?? And what was the deal with Rene'? Was he just a jerk or was he a jerk with a heart of gold since he basically helped Nikki rescue Jeffrey...I mean, COME ON!!!!!. I'd love to meet the writer of this movie with the crappy ending and punch them in the back of the head!! Such a let-down during the last 15 minutes...

Don't you know better n' to sneak up on someone when they're talkin' to a CORPSE?

I was just SUCKED into this movie too! What an amazing FAILURE that ending was!!!!!!!!! I've never said this about a movie. But this was like leaving FRODO and SAM on that hill at the end of THE RING movies without a proper ending! Just awful!!!!!!!!!!!!

It didn't ruin the movie for me, but it was a bit of a letdown -- not what happens but the rushed and perfunctory way it was presented. It wasn't up to the rest of the film.

I was sucked into this movie because the COMCAST ON DEMAND description had a plot for a romantic film. It happens sometimes. I started thinking it was a thriller when the Mute startled Nikki, I knew it was a thriller when she wouldn't let him out the house. I was peed of because the first 50 mins u can't tell it's suppose to be a scary movie.

The ending.

At first I was upset with the ending, last seconds, but then I thought they could of did the whole "protagnist out walking the dog in the day time and returns home and the crazy lady is back ooooooooooo". In the end I felt satisfied with the why's of the antagonist, because I left home for a while (MD to LA) and didn't talk much with family and friends because of my sexuality, thankfully I returned home not to die but to live.

I thoroughly enjoyed this film, and thought that the ending was very well handled. Rather than end in a welter of gore or with an overblown chase scene, it was subdued and very realistic. Jeffery survives, and saying "I'm here" is all he needed to say. Life will go on for them just as it would for us in a similar situation. Rather than divert attention to Jeffery's mad state of mind (he is completely sane at the end I think, a typical Hollywood film would have projected Gladys' nuttiness onto him as a final 'twist' - predictable!), we are left to consider the events we have just seen. Because of this, you end up feeling rather sorry for Gladys. I think that was the aim of the film, thus serving Patti D'Arbanville's excellent performance very well. She deserved to be the focus of the film when the end credits rolled.

I just watched the film and loved it.

Simon-1184 gets it. It's really not that hard to understand, folks.

I love Patti D'Arbanville. She's the main reason I watched this in the first place.

It was a great movie but it left me with nothing.
Is he going to save nikki or go nuts?
He had that look in his eye.
Did the dog die? I am pretty sure he did.
Is Gladys dead?
She only got stabbed once.
Are the cops going to believe them about what happened?
That one I am really concerned about but i figure they will though but I still would have liked to see that play out and see them go on with life.
Do not get me wrong. I loved this movie. I want more though. Gimme more haha.

I also am fed up with typical 'explain away the meaning' or happy Hollywood endings. This film was refreshing and deserves a cult audience. It will get one in time...

I'm sorry I have to put it this way but if you find that this film has a cliffhanger ending, you must have recently experienced some heavy objects falling onto your head. How was it a cliffhanger ending exactly? The mad family weren't cut into pieces in front of you or did you expect them to come back as zombies? What EXACTLY did you expect them to say or do to ensure you that they were finally safe?

I didn't like him going into the room and finding the dead or preserved body. It was too Psycho for me.

Sorry, but this ending was GOOD!!! Damnit!!! I can't begin to tell you how many good movies end in horrible disasters - at least here the guys we all loved, minus one (two if you count the dog) survived. Oho, i just got who's blood was on the carpet, muahahaha-woof!
Yay for the film!
