Computerized backdrops, blah blah blah.

So the only criticism on this movie that I've seen here is the fact that it's shot on green screens with digital background and the lighting doesn't really match up. That does sound crappy, but has ANYBODY able to look passed that and make a few comments on the story, directing, or performances?

Actors = terrible.

Story? I dont know really, cus a guy that have nothing with the story to do take up like 10-15min of the movie. Almost all scenes have nothing with the real story to do, cus there is no story really.

Directing? Still pictures with people moving in front of them.

1/10

I'm glad somebody pointed out it was a slap, not a punch.

Well he was trying to calm her and keep her from running away. Nothing else was working so he got frustrated and smacked her to quiet her down. Instantly felt sorry for it though.

I didn't get it at first either. Then I remembered in one of his wife's diary entries she said something about him getting more violent. Sooooo, my best guess is it was some sort of awkward, crappy attempt at character development.

he slapped her to stop her running to her ghostly mother. I blame the father for summoning the ghost at the cabin. He should of destroyed the laptop the other girl did try to warn him. I thought this film was great dispite what others say about it.

i cant go for story, have not watched the first part, but i think the performance of actors were above average.
and i dont know what crack majority was smoking, but there were no green scenes.

Okay, I guess the last post of yours I commented on wasn't sarcasm. Either you really couldn't tell it was greenSCREEN or you're trying to goad people.

Either way, one look at the second deleted scene (titled 'Guilt' I believe) will show you exactly what we're talking about.

I had problems with the greenscreen like everyone else. But the story does take a while to get going as it takes a backseat to the special effects for a good portion of the movie. There's a lot of elements to get set up and it could have been done a LOT faster had we not been forced with pointless scenes like the dad walking down the stairs of the cabin just so we could see some of those "amazing" backgrounds again.

Somewhere near the middle I started getting into it though. Oddly enough this was when they stopped using the greenscreen quite so much. I realized I was invested in the characters and wanted to see them be okay.

Then character stupidity set in, I was annoyed, and the movie was over. I'm still looking forward to Pulse 3, but I'll say it was a long and trying road to get there.
