Where does this stand with Moodysson's past Efforts?

is this Movie able to hold itself with his first films in which is his most *beep* Amal,Together and Lilya 4 ever) or is it with his more obsure arty films which have lost him a lot of fans(A Hole in My heart and Container)

i'm just wondering seen as this hasn't been released in Ireland on Dvd or anythign what am i to expect?

I saw Together and Lilya. Together is a wonderful movie, and I really loved it. Lilya is very powerful and very good movie. That´s why I rented this one. Cause I´d like to see if Moodysson would have kept up with the good work.

I was very disappointed. This movie is so bad. So many nonsenses... The best actors in the movie were the kids. Bernal is so bad in this movie that I begun to reconsider him as a great actor. What kind of a stupid person leaves something as a gift to a hooker without mentioning the values of the gifts. Of course she´d sell it for nothing! The guy called himself a genious, and is such a stupid traveler... Can´t even buy a plane ticket and plan his trip... ´Who goes to Thailand without bringing shorts?!

And the mother... If she wanted to spend time with her kid, why wouldn´t she give the day off to the nanny?! And when she tries to cook something?! Unbelievable... If they´re so rich why couldn´t she find a better job?!

And if Gloria is so good to her kid and they´re such good people worrying about the poor stabbed boy and the thai hooker, why didn´t they bring Gloria´s kids to America and helped them get a good life. Pointless nonsense...

Bad, Mr. Moodysson, bad...

I really liked it, 8/10.

It is a "normal" movie and not as arty as AHIMH (which had some redeeming moments) and Container (which for me was a total crapfest).

I liked almost everything about the movie, except it was a bit to long and that the ending left kind of a hollow feeling (which might have been intentional).

The actors where all excellent, all the characters where believable to me and I could understand their reasons for their actions.

The only over the top / stupid scene was when Michelle Williams wanted to cook for the nanny.

It seems to me that as Moodysson's career has progressed he has used his increasing renown to tackle difficult subjects and express his anger about them. This film doesn't fit with the dichotomy of choice offered in the OP.
