The World Premiere

Will be at the Edinburgh International Film Festival next month. I believe the film is included amongst the nominees for The Michael Powell Award, there.

Went to the World Premiere in Edinburgh last night (we were entertaining journalists on a corporate freebie).

Film was an enjoyable way to spend 90 minutes - but I feel it didn't really develop the characters enough. Also it couldn't decide whether it was a comedy or a serious drama and so it ended up being neither with cartoon type characters.

Went to the Gala Dinner afterwards at the Royal Scottish Museum. Kate Mara looked absolutely stunning in her silver dress - and her and the guy that plays Ian Hamilton an item because there was quite a lot of touching going on.

Walked out of the Gala Dinner before the sweet course because the service was dreadful. First tow courses took an hour each to be served - went off to a nightclub.

Sorry to hear the dinner was ruined by the service. I went to the premiere on Saturday night along with friends 3 whom had travelled from Italy, Germany and the US for the occasion. We all enjoyed the film and the performances, although I can appreciate totally what you are saying.
