This is a very misleading film

It's no surprise that this films gets all of the facts wrong, as every other WWII film has done as well. First off, the Germans did not "invade" the Soviet Union. Stalin had amassed an army of more than 3 million soldiers in order to invade Germany and conquer the rest of Europe. The Germans got wind of this plan and Hitler ordered a preemptive strike against the Red Army to save Europe from the Communist hordes. This film would have you believe that the Reds were simply defending themselves against "the evil Germans" and were justified in their actions. Nothing could be further from the truth. The other egregious lie that the writer attempts to put forward is that the Germans raped and pillaged across the Eastern front. Again nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, it was the Germans who liberated millions of women and children from the Communists, and gave them food and shelter. Obviously, no filmmaker since WWII has had the balls to dare tell the truth about the Germans and portray them as the heroes that they were, and this film is no different, coming across more like watered-down Soviet propaganda. Make no mistake, the Soviets were the true barbaric savages of WWII, not the Germans.

The Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact was designed to create a temporary alliance between Germany and the Soviet Union (a world superpower) in order to dissuade Britain from declaring war, which Hitler knew full well was their intended plan, while buying time to resolve the conflict in Poland. Hitler hated Stalin and knew that the agreement would not be long-lasting, but hoped that it would buy enough time to prevent another World War. Unbeknownst to him, Stalin was already working with the international bankers to enter into an alliance with Britain instead.

No one was totally innocent during the war, but it is an indisputable fact that Hitler wanted peace with his European neighbors, and did everything possible to ensure that. However, Those in power wanted to see Germany permanently destroyed, and defeat the one country that posed a real threat to the agenda of International Jewry and their central banking cartel. Hitler's endgame was merely to undo the damage caused by the terrible Treaty of Versailles, and restore Germany to her former health; not global domination. The end result of WWII, though, is that Communism was allowed to spread throughout the West, Europe was reduced to rubble, and the central banking cartel became more powerful than ever before.

My wife is from Krakow and I have spent days at Aushwitz-Birkenau. Then there is Chelmno, Belzec, Sobibor, Treblinka, and Majdanek. Those were the Nazis death factories ... then there were dozens of other camps across Europe where the conditions were so poor you could easily call them "death camps."

Your defense of Hitler and the Nazis is very ironic ... people with your demonstrated level of intelligence also qualified for time in these very same camps ... under operation T4. Now crawl back under your rock.

Ignore him.
Clearly someone in denial of his nazi heroes who believes all the revisionist crap spouted by the filthy neo nazi scum.
Nobody takes them serious besides their little friends on dodgy websites where they spin and turn history and try and ignore the facts that don't fit their idea of the wonderful nazis and those nasty communists.

The OP is getting this from a Russian pseudo-historian called Viktor Suvorov, a former GRU officer who claims that Stalin was amassing more than 100,000 tanks to take over Europe. It sort of flies in the face of common sense but the internet isn't really interested in what is sensible. He absolutely ignores the Soviet Union's capacity to produce that many tanks in the first place. He also ignores the USSR's actions in the Spanish Civil War as a prelude. His analysis of the Red Army is seriously flawed, despite his service in the Spetsnaz. It's a conspiracy theory on the same scale as the Jewish Banker Plot and has only slightly more logic behind it.

He's not really defending the Nazis as such. He's just trying to make the USSR and especially Stalin, look worse. This is a common misconception, especially now that so many people get their "history" lessons from internet bloggers and YouTube rather than credible texts from people with a decent academic background.
