A unique twist on the famous, 'The Most Dangerous Game' theme

Hunting humans was immortalized in the old book, "The Most Dangerous Game", and further illustrated down through the decades with a plethora of movies, such, "The Naked Prey", and several others that I can't recall right now.

SPOILERS ***** SPOILERS ***** SPOILERS

Despite the criticism on this movie, I give it a thumbs up for a unique plot twist. Several young adults, people in their late twenties, possibly early thirties, have been kidnapped and brought to a deserted island to be hunted down. These aren't exactly totally innocent victims. All are connected to an individual crime in their recent histories, such as, drunk driving and killing someone; shooting a husband; raping and killing a college freshman, you get the picture. These people escaped justice but unfortunately for them, their victims came from families with wealth who can afford their unique brand of vigilante justice.

I got bored with its predictability, halfway through. And, when I say "predictability," I mean I'll bet I can guess how it ended. The woman who killed her (doubtlessly abusive) husband, and the wrongfully court-martialed ex-commando were the sole survivors. While everyone else---from the egocentric Camdens to the over-ambitious archeology student--got killed by the Hydra.*

*The scriptwriters trying to make some allegorical point, thereby.
