The Archeologist lady knows how to kill the hydra, she knows where the cave is, where the idol room is, and that she has to complete a "test of faith"...

on top of all this, she is hunted day and night by the hydra for 2 months...

She couldn't figure this out??

... in a cave that was self-illuminated, no less! A ridiculous film, but watchable (alcohol helped!)

Why did she have to die anyway? She was SO helpful! At least kill her off in the last 2 minutes of the movie.
