Are Goblin still alive?

They better use the original soundtrack. I don't see it working any other way. Unless someone remakes it, otherwise I'd like to see a witch-house band/artist (wink wink) do it- maybe White Ring? It's kind of a genre in limbo right now but there are still artists out there in witch-house making new music and it would be a hell of a resurgence for that genre if the movie does well and the soundtrack is as good as Goblin's original. (In its own right of course- there's no way the original soundtrack can be topped). Sorry for rambling but I really love the witch-house genre and this movie is coming out soon and I think it'd be the perfect link between eras. Seriously check out the song "Lxc999" by White Ring and tell me that that kind of music wouldn't be perfect for this film. I'm gettin hyped just thinkin about it :P

It depends if they set it nowadays or if they still set it in the 70s. If it is set nowadays they cannot use the original soundtrack or even the same style. Prog is too much associated with the past. They could however find a band that can pull out a beautiful contemporary score that is as creepy and gothic as the original. I would see well maybe the Kilimanjaro Dark Jazz Orchestra doing the score for this.

I really hate to say this but...

Hans Zimmer...if you tell him to do the exact opposite of the generic mainstream bs he has put out from time to time.

Cliff Martinez. His score for Drive was amazing, as was his score for The Neon Demon.

The Neon Demon was a stinking pile of c**p. The music Dario chose for his movie's made them even more awesome. When I got a copy of his move "Opera" I got the soundtrack with it & the fusion of opera & electronic music was amazing.
