They could have found better looking older women!

Seriously... they all DO look their age... take away their make up and you would see so! The only one they got it right with is Lynn who COULD pass for 30... but seriously... all the other women look like they are in their 50's... especially the 39 years old! Gee whiz! She looks 49! My mom is 39 and could easily pass for 30 and has friends that are the same... I don't think NBC looked hard enough!

Either that, or the only women that showed up were even more haggard looking than these! (with the exception of Lynn)

Lynn is hot. All of the other chicks, even the kittens, pale in comparison to hottie-butt Lynn.

I think the older are very attractive and don't look their age. Take away their makeup? Why don't you take away the makeup of the younger girls as well and see what they look like. My guess would be that the younger women wear MORE makeup than the older women. I'm 19 but my roommates are in their 20's and wear a MASSIVE amount of makeup daily. The only tell with the older women is their wrinkles but I don't think that makes them unattractive really.

And no offense but I saw the picture of your mom and she doesn't look that old but she's definitely not as attractive as the older women on the show.

I think the women on both sides of the spectrum could definitely be more attractive. But as the saying goes, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". Anyway, I think that the reason the women are not as attractive as we know women of both age groups are is that those women wouldn't want to be on a dating show, especially one like this.

The older women would have to not be married or in a relationship. They would need to be desperate enough to go on a dating show and be judged by a man and the viewing community. They would need to be naive enough to believe they would find love despite the success rate of all previous dating shows of the like. They would have to be in their 40s but not comfortable enough to think that they don't need a man to be complete.

They would also know that they would be competing with older women and know that this show would not be particularly tasteful or dignified.

Lastly, the producers of the show picked these women for a reason. Maybe they aren't as attractive as other women but they are more athletic, or are smarter, or do certain things, etc.
