What happened to Spider was a joke (SPOILER)..

In most action movies, when people get shot they fly off of their feet and onto their backs, or some variation of such. The only problem is, this is completely unrealistic and doesn't really happen. Now I've seen quite a few movies in my time, and I must say that Spider's death was one of the most ridiculous bullet impact overkills I have ever seen. If a bullet were really to do this to someone, it would not only have broken the wrist of the person who shot the gun, but quite possibly their forearm as well, in addition to knocking them off of their feet and backwards.

For some reason, filmmakers forget Newton's Law that states that "every action has an equal and opposite reaction". The most interesting this is that you wouldn't believe how many people actually think this is what guns do to people. They think that if someone were shot with a shotgun they would go flying across the room. It's ridiculous.

I don't know why this bugs me. Perhaps it's that filmmakers believe that we are all idiots and take this reaction to being shot as factual. Oh well. It's only a movie.

Movies are about entertainment, the most entertaining ways to tell their stories, not realism or history as so many seem to misunderstand.
