Felicity Huffman...

Peed me off in this movie. Out of all the annoying people in this movie (like the principal who didn't know how to be a prinipal) didn't annoy me half as much as she did. She was just so irritating in this movie. Why does she always have to play the whinney, crying wife/ bad mother who is in denial about how horrible of a wife and a mother she is? This was a wonderful movie otherwise but it could have done without her.

...and that wig of hers was horrendous, she looked like a tranny (an ugly one!)

Interesting...I loved her character. Alone with the drama teacher, I can't remember the last time I saw two adults be so in touch with the needs of a young person and both wanting to understand someone who is struggling without pre-judging them or just dealing with them in a way that everyone else has done just because that's what everyone else was doing. And the Mom was the only person who figured out what was really going on. Others wanting to drug the girl or punish her. Felicity Huffman's character was a strong, brave, persistent hero.
