Does one with these symptoms/conditions/afflictions/whatever normally also experience hallucinations? An active imagination is one thing, but seeing things that aren't there is another. I appeal to the 'wide range' of those on the board to comment. And yes, I know this is a film, artistic license applies, and portraying 'imagination' is difficult, but ...

I think they explained that in the film. That the hallucinations weren't part of the Tourette's syndrome, but just Phoebe trying to escape from the real world.
