What a shame THINK messed up another beautiful film.

Once again, THINK has taken a beautiful film that should be seen by everyone - and those who have had the opportunity to see it are LOVING it - and screwed it up.
Someone STOP THEM.

reply

I don't think anyone needs to stop them as they won't be releasing anymore films period.

I think Good and Phoebe in Wonderland were the last films in the pipeline at THINK. But one has to admit the absolute failure David Bergstein (Pres. of THINK) was as a Producer of films.

Where would you get that idea? THINKFilm is still alive and kickin'.

Who is THINK? What are you talking about?

My favorite opera is Die Valkure. I've always loved horses.

i think that "THiNK" or "THiNK Film" maybe is a production company (if thats the right terminology). Maybe like a smaller indie Universal...It's one of the companies that helps make movies. Lol, you should prolly look it up for a better andswer.

reply

Could you please be more specific? It's probably easy to look up THINK, but not to read your mind. What exactly was screwed up? The distribution? Publicity? Why, as I read further down this thread, is the writer to blame, and for what? This movie is terrific, the writing is superb, the acting fantastic. Thanks.

I think they were refering to the marketing. Hardly anyone has heard of this movie. The DVD could have used a few extras too. But I agree, the movie itself was wonderful.

Yeah, I wondered why I hadn't heard of this till mom got it for me from the library. It's a great film, and I think the actress who played Phoebe is the best actress her age I've ever seen.

"Me! Ha!"

I doubt it's completely the production company's fault though. Hard to categorize films like this always have a hard time being marketed. And also dramas are just in less and less demand these days, and are way more risky to put money into than ever before. Most people, especially young movie goers who buy the bulk of the tickets, just want to see genre films- comedies, action films, and horror.

My biggest disappointment is that there is no Blu-ray version of this wonderful movie, with some extras to go with it. There is a German BD version, but it won't play on North American BD players due to region restrictions.

On top of that, the DVD is single-layer, not a higher-quality dual-layer disk. And again, no extras.

I agree - this terrific movie didn't get the treatment it deserves, at least not in disk format. Shame.
