Nuns wearing lipstick
Apparently the Catholic order of the Sisters , Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) is a very liberal order. The order allows nuns, at least the younger ones (Sister Sunday), to wear lipstick and makeup.
shareI went to Catholic schools about this time (late 60s/early 70s) and nuns were allowed to use 'very modest' makeup.
Many orders quit the mandatory wearing of habits about 1970.
