Ok so i was expecting trash, and maybe this speaks volumes on my taste of movies, judge me, i don't care, but the movie had its funny parts, but i get why it was sent straight to dvd, it wouldn't work on the big screen, but it wasn't completely awful. Jessica Simpson is not a bad actress, she just needs the right movie.

This was on TBS a few nights ago and I decided to watch it out of curiosity. I'm a huge fan of "Private Benjamin" and knowing it was along the same lines as that (not an exact remake, but pretty close in parts)I decided to watch it.
I was very surprised too!! It was very funny and Jessica isn't as bad an actress as I thought she was! I'm like the other poster said, I see why it went straight to DVD tho....overall, very entertaining.

I agree. I rented it from Netflix because I remember years ago when it came out I wanted to get it. I watched it with my sister and my mom and we were dying laughing from the very start to the end. It was a really good movie if you like comedies, stupid comedies. If someone is renting this expecting to see some amazing movie, you won't. I think a lot of the people who gave this a bad rating only did it because Jessica Simpson is in it or because they are the types who judge movies very harshly. I thought it was a cute, little fun movie and Jessica Simpson was actually good in it. Like you said, she just needs a good movie.
