Am I one of the few?

I found this movie to be very enjoyable and I would watch it again. It was made as a comedy and it seems many people take movies like this way too seriously. Also, the blonde was gorgeous which is a plus.

Thats the problem with some people now a days, they take almost every movie way to seriously.
But then you naturally also just have the common low life forms in form of trolls, who has countless of IMDb accounts, who then use these to agree with them selves, in order to keep hating topics going.

I like the movie, i have watched it several times already.

I only saw I.S. recently and I couldn't love it mainly coz it's such a mess. This could have been a totally _awesome_ movie but it's not - it's like some drug crazed schizo's nightmare. Real shameful waste of some great character actors too. The writing is weak and the directing is just not there at all. 1 second it's a horror comedy the next it's a political thriller then it's slapstick then it's....... just all over the map.

and if it only did one of those things you'd accuse it of being a 1-note.

It’s ridiculous to critique a movie with the argument 'it's not real, so it doesn't matter'

That is an unfair claim.
A lot of people happen to agree that this movies one big failing is the directing.
Iron Sky could have worked great as a madcap comedy or as a "take itself seriously" B horror/science fiction movie.
The trouble was as the poster above you said it tried to be everything and the result it was almost nothing.
The concept is great : who wouldn't want to see a movie about Moon Nazis?!? 
If this had an experienced director it could have been a great movie.
This is not to knock the guy behind it because he did great to get it going and the effects are really good for a little movie like this, but the truth is he should have handed the director duty to an experienced pro and concentrated on the effects, and all that.
Are you unhappy about these negative opinions because the movie was shot in Australia (and were you one who worked on it)?

I found the movie very entertaining indeed. As I understand some German it was even more funny. However I really wish the movie had been a dark horrorish sci-fi movie instead of a. Comedy. I just feel the settings could really have been far more awesome. A bit like watching "Wolfenstein new order" with the way they use the tech and heavy dieselpunk themed..

A truly DREADFUL movie. The script stinks and the actors are obviously ill directed. This whole self indulgent mess should've stayed a dream and never, I repeat, NEVER have made it beyond an initial thought. It really should've stayed a dream because what we are subjected to in this movie is a bloody nightmare! It is NOT funny...at all. Do you all know the fairy tale of the Emperor's New Clothes ? Where everybody felt they HAD to say how wonderful and handsome the Emperor looked in his new suit ( which was actually absolutely nothing...he was naked ) and where it took a small child to shake the people of the land out of their zombie like trance, STOP their sycophantic mutterings and realise that they AND the Emperor had all been conned....Likewise, regarding THIS film...DON'T fall for idiotic critics who proclaim this awful movie as good just because they have no idea HOW to sum it up and by praising this utter sh*t, they push the public to accept it and give it cult status....IT'S NOT GOOD...IT IS A TRULY DREADFUL MOVIE.....By all means watch it, then use the experience to warn others of how movie makers can get it seriously wrong at times and IRON SKY is one of those times.

Well, you just have to look at some prior work of the directors to see their "sense of humor" (the quotation marks to indicate their actual lack of sense of humor). Frankly, my empty wallet has a better sense of humor and makes me laugh more often than Iron Sky did.

I just re-read my comment after more than a year and felt I should agree with myself. What I said is so true - this so-called movie is as funny as genitalia herpes after the actual fun part.
