How did Dorothy get to the hospital at the end? I'm assuming her Aunt brought her but given how closed-off the community was it would be highly unlikely they would have let Dorothy leave the island. Aside from that one misstep, I thought it was a near-perfect film.

shareI just stumbled across the film and was very pleasantly surprised. I was thinking the same zziegamp, and wondered if the dvd had any deleted /alternate scenes that explained that. The only gripe that I have is that I would have liked to have seen a bit more payback on the community. ;)

As part of the "cleansing" of the island community, Dorothy had to leave the island, along with the guilty men. With those 4 gone, the rest of the community could go on pretending the whole incident is over, the past is past.
