I enjoyed this movie , especially because it shows the Jewish resistance and standing and fighting during these mass genocides. That being said, it's no Schindlers List and my favorite holocaust/WW2 film "The Pianist" (truly a masterpiece )

I really don't think it's trying to be anything like those two movies, but yes, I agree with you, it does tell a pretty good story about a group I'd never heard of previously.🐭
shareThese Jews don't take anything, including excrement from anyone. There was no discrimination who they eliminated to survive including Belarus police, Nazis, Poles, Cassocks and even other Jews. I read where Zus Bielski had over 60 'personal' kills, all were non-discriminatory. Those other movies were well made eulogies of poor Jews who needed to be saved by others. The Bielskis were no bullcrap like the Maccabees.
