So I was approximately the same age as the kid in this movie during 1980. I thought I might like this in the same nostalgic way my Dad enjoyed movies like "Summer of '42" back in the 1970s.

However, reading more closely, this movie seems more like a very awkward, forced attempt to link the Trump family name with anti-Semitism and Hitler.

Sigh... When will the Hollywood propaganda war ever end?

I thought the same thing, from the description it sounds like an 80s nostalgic coming of age story but it turns out to be just more modern day woke bs.
