What happened this season?

Don't you feel like they are giving too much time to Stephen Mulhern and his comedy bits? i don't mind his personality, his kinda fun but it takes too much time in my opinion.

Just look at the last season, there were so much more acts, the deference is huge.

btw i'm not up to date. i'm just watching the sixth episode at the moment.
