Did this thing run out of money halfway through? Spoiler inside

honestly, there was no storyline even remotely finished - not even the main one. it justs cuts to end from one second to the other, with dave franco for example just dissapearing halfway through

also the scenes in the hospital didnt make any sense, what did the bandaged patient even type in the computer?!

There was a lot of problems during production apparently. From what I recall: Rob Schmidt left the directors chair, the script was completely butchered/rewritten during the filming process and two of the actors never returned when filming did resume.

The hospital scenes made no sense and were poorly edited in because they were just afterthoughts thrown into the film because the feature itself didn't have enough footage b/c of the problems on set.

And Dave Franco calls it the worst movie experience of his life...lol, can't blame the poor guy.

Yeah, the behind-the-scenes story of this film would be infinitely more fascinating than the movie we ended up with. For one, I wonder how much of the film Schmidt directed before leaving as the film as a whole has an odd obsession with showing the butts and bare midriffs of characters (mostly female but not all), way more obvious than any other horror film I've seen. Schmidt has never come close to sexualizing his films this much, even stuff like Crime and Punishment in Suburbia.
