When she was in the cab I'm sure she said she only had 5 dollars on her and he had her purse.

You're right. She even said something like, "Here's five dollars!" to the fruit vendor as she grabbed the bag.

I have a new philosophy. I'm only going to dread one day at a time.

Oh come on! I am only half paying attention to this movie while watching porno on the laptop and i even saw she had a 5 dollar bill in her hand BEFORE she got out of the cab.
