You missed it. It's not about how horrible they were. It's about the things they go through, and how these things change them.
I'm assuming you're a woman. Are you married? Have kids? I am, I do, and have 4 grandchildren to boot. We've been to the ER more times than I care to remember. Left with little stitched-up lips, one mild concussion, ear infections, even one case of nursemaid's elbow. (Look that one up) and more. But to lose a child, and think I was responsible, is too horrible to imagine. Here are four people, all going through horrendous things, any of which could happen to any of us, and they all manage to survive them, to learn from them, even to be better people.
Watch it again, this time asking yourself how you would react to what they're going through. I hope you enjoy it more. :-)
