Chris Columbus directed this????

I was hoping for some young director at his first job, but no! Chris Columbus directed this crap. The same guy who directed Mrs. Doubtfire, Home Alone, Step Mom... come on, this movie is a BAD copy of "The girl next door", it's about a hot girl who take a geek out of his box. There were some scenes and dialogues so ridiculous, and I know it's a comedy but even a comedy has some limits.

I agree with Kaasa on the last two, but I enjoy Home Alone 2, even if it is a rehash of the first film. I really could not believe it myself. Chris Columbus has a somewhat overlooked visual style. Just take a look at the first two Home Alone films, or the first two Harry Potter films. Atmospheric settings which fit the films perfectly, and wonderful John Williams scores to accompany them. When you watch those, and then this garbage, you would not think it was made by the same guy. Then again, every filmmaker seems to have at least one film that fits outside of their traditional style.

Adventures in Babysitting - He also did that - and this movie kinda had that feel to it - But I was surprised to see it was a Columbus film
