I like this better too. I love Snatch too, but the one thing that annoys me the whole movie is that its really over-Britshed.

Yeah. The whole 'Now you havn't really done that now, did ya'- lines where a bit over the top. Johnny Quid is by far the most likeable character of all Ritchie's movies! The 'handwritten' Rock-Star tattoo on his chest, his semi-whisedomes, the classy vintage glasses he's wearing, espacially the big golden ones no-one seems to know the name of. IT seems Ritchie uses the same formula over and over again trying to perfectionate it! The only thing that annoyed me was Gerard Butler in it! I've seen too much of him lately. They should've picked a smaller, perhaps more rock 'n roll type of charachter. I also always find it cool to see how a milionair lives, something you can always fantasize about. Like Uri who just sat there in the Arsenal stadium, or when he rented the golf-tracks

tbh I hated RocknRolla the first time I watched it. Then after watching Bronson again, great film with Tom Hardy lol. I remembered I saw him in some Ritchie film. I have to admit the second time around I liked it MUCH more. I had to re-rate it from a 4 to a 6. IMO I think Snatch is too good. Lock Stock is entertaining but I don't think I would rewatch it as much as Snatch. Hard to say but I guess I like Snatch, Lock Stock, Revolver (I know most people hate it but I actually enjoyed the whole 'fake' world that it took place in. It had a lot of problems but still enjoyable to me), then RocknRolla, over-Britished???? Lol, not making fun of you or anything but it is a Ritchie film..

I guess I prefer lock stock, but I way prefer rocknrolla to snatch.

I liked 'snatch' and 'lock, stock' a lot but Rocknrolla is my Guy's favorite!

personally for me, this has so much more going on for it then Snatch or Lock, Stock. Its hard for me to love a movie these days, but this was brilliant, n i dont get why it didnt kick off as well as it should have.

I love all 3...but at this point I this might be my favorite as well

I'm shocked anyone would like this over Lock Stock and Snatch. I thought it was ok but have never wanted to go back and watch it again but with Snatch and Lock Stock I can view them over and over again and still enjoy them in fact I'm watching Snatch at the moment.

reply

Snatch is easily the best out of the three. I cant see why anybody likes this film. Someone enlighten me? I just watched it and thought it was pretty pants...

reply

are you guys on crack?! snatch is easily the best, followed somewhat closely by lock stock, with this rounding out the top 3... also, i personally thought ritchies revolver had monster potential; it had its moments, but it also did have some fatal flaws... personally i think sherlock holmes is below rocknrolla, so im still hoping for that sequel!

snatch= 10/10
lock stock= 9/10
rocknrolla= 7.5/10
revolver= 6.5/10

Personally, I liked Snatch and Revolver the best; but Revolver is quite different, and I understand why some people don't dig it. As far as story and direction, I thought both Lock Stock and RocknRolla to on the same scale. Both pretty rad. What gives the edge to RocknRolla for me is that in my humble opinion, some of the acting in Lock Stock was not quite up to par. Understandable, as it had a small budget.

Easy. Just watch it over, and over and over and over again. It gets to you i hope like it did with me! At first i wasn't that enthuziastic, but it sort of grew on me. Same with Sherlock Holmes.. God i love that movie... more and more and more after watching it over and over and over again seeing much more and tiny details Ritchie is so famous for! Hmm this kind of presents me as a kid without a life, but it's true!

Rocknrolla is a lot fresher in my mind so I won't go as far to say it was better than the other two. I will say that I like Archy and Johnny more than any characters from his other movies. I think that is why someone would like this movie more. You really never pull for the characters in the other movies like you are in this one.

reply

I thought "Lock Stock" was just okay. Snatch and RocknRolla are good. Maybe Snatch is better because I didn't turn it off halfway through. I turned off RocknRolla halfway through because I felt it wasn't really funny, I was thinking I didn't chuckle enough. Hours later it occured to me I should watch a little more or maybe finish it so I popped it back in my Blu-Ray player the next day and finished it. My humor expectation was a little high and the twist blew me away.

ROCKNROLLA is richtie's best -written and directed-, as far as i am concerned.

I liked it WAY better than Snatch and Lock & Stock. A much superior movie IMO.

Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too) 🐈

reply

Well, I hate this. Boring and empty, with interesting premise and good cast, but that's about everything it has to offer. Lock Stock and Snatch IMO are much better movies. Just because Ritchie made again cockney gangster flick doesn't mean he scored the jackpot.
