Inspired by a story in RD...

The ad in the April 2008 issue of Reader's Digest says this film was inspired by a story in that magazine. They have published other such stories that would make good "family" films, especially for families tired of the gross-out stuff that has become so common. One story in particular that would make a good film dealt with a military dog and his handler in Vietnam, one of the few stories of that subject where there was a happy ending for both. There's nothing political about it, nor is there a "lesson," just a good story.
