A.D.D. is the worst band I have ever heard

Their music is NOT rock. It is a guy with a very narrow range CROONING, backed by rock and roll instrumentation. The songs are insipid, uninspired dreck, and no one in the band is interesting, except of course, the drummer. The lead singer seems to think he is some kind of "serious artist," but sadly, he is only serious.

I wanted to like the movie, because I like the actors, and the story is OK. But the music SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS. Oh HELP me it sucks. I have always thought some people are too mean and critical on the internet, and on this website in particular, but I think I'm just going to go ahead and say that listening to A.D.D. makes me physically ill to the point of vomiting.

It's called a BRAIN. ~USE IT!

Sorry you vomited. Maybe it was food poisoning or the flu.

I'm a country music fan and I liked the A.D.D. music in this one.

Also, I think you missed the point on title. The movie was called The Rocker, in reference to the character not necessarily the style of music he would be playing. It was this fact that made him anachronistic and in part, gained his initial entry into A.D.D.

Well said.

I wonder if the OP is angry that "The Saint" wasn't about the priesthood, nor was "The Boys From Brazil" about children in South America.

The joke of the title is that "The Rocker" is an aging 40-something has-been trying to 'rock' with teenagers in a more conservative world dominated by alternative music. It's the irony & anachronism of the character that makes it hilarious for anyone familiar with 80s music culture vs. today's.

By the way, I'm a 70s rock fan and my girlfriend is an old school jazz fan, and we both thought A.D.D. was cool. The tunes are catchy, energetic & fun even though their lyricist is an emo depressed teen. That itself is pretty funny.

Im with you on that one. Damn the music was boring and uninspiring. Some one In this topic mentioned energetic, where is it exactly that. But the music is not my genre, and I was fooled by the the title.

The music usually sucks in films like these, because they always have to include a girl, and a keyboard player, because otherwise you run out of instruments. Then they have to water everything down and try to make something that's not too deep in any particular genre in case it excludes anyone, and what you end up with is a load of cock.

It's not a bad movie but the music is pop not rock or metal. It was like watching a 'you me at six' documentary. If they were a metal / rock band it would have been a lot better and made more sense. Found it hard to believe a metal fan could tolerate playing in such a watered down band. I had to fast forward past the songs, they were MTV at it's worst.

the music absolutely ruins the movie, I really, really, really do NOT understand what the producers were going for, or what they were thinking, I do not understand what was the point of making such a vapid, horrible, cringe worthy band for a movie called the rocker...

I think the School of Rock's band was better and more likable and that was with kids.... the little kid in school of rock sounded better than this guy.

this is a really bizarre movie, dont know who was in charge of the music but they must be a huge boy band fan, or a fan of bubble gum pop music.

It is kind of a shame because the plot itself was kind of cool and t he movie could have been nice if they had a better band and a better singer. if the band was just rock or punkish- like. even just a regular rock band like green day or something.

This was a mixture of Good charlotte combined with Hanson and a little bit of One Direction.

seriously what the hell was the person making the music thinking... who the hell wrote this?
