Alternate ending? (SPOILERS)

What the hell.
I saw this movie in Italian, and to be a TV movie it wasn't that bad imo.
However in the version I've seen Jamie doesn't die near the tree, she survives and the ending lasts only 2 seconds where you hear Jamie and Katleen talking.

I was like wtf, how can a movie have a 2 seconds ending (I thought that Amanda possessed the older human, but that it was left open..)
Reading the comments here it apparently seems that this wasn't the real ending?

I just saw the movie on a Danish channel, and I was thinking exactly the same!

The movie ends with Jamie being found and saved at the tree, and then there is
an outside shot of the house in broad daylight, and we hear Jamie saying something like "playtime's over, time for your nap" and the baby giggling, that's it. Then the credits start rolling, no nanny cam or anything like that. Really strange ..

Not really. Movies have different versions all the time.
