i'm not joking. you're right in noticing there's extremely little substance here. It's not about prison. It's not about power or the legal system or human relationships, it's about a kind of pre-teen sadism masquerading as edgy art. and some aimless artistic talent puffed up into a big nothing by talented voice actors and meaningless writing.
I have only watched about 3 episodes of Superjail, but I think that people are getting the wrong image about it. I know it can be very violent and hard to take for some people, but there's actually some heart under the violence and gore. I think that nowadays people are getting lame and are afraid of raunchy jokes and other stuff.
Yeah, but Superjail! is about a
jail run'd by The Warden (played by David Wain). I've heard that it gets a little different when the show progresses, but I heard that the episodes in the first season is
usually a bit like this: The Warden does some chances on the jail for personal good, such as creating a bar to flirt with Alice, a co-worker. Then usually the Twins (two prisoners) cook up a secret plan and cause havoc which ends up on a very violent scene. I heard that there's some more character-based episodes in the second season, but I havent seen it yet. So that's basically Superjail! in a nutshell.
