I literally fell asleep watching it.

shareAh, “the peacock network.” My father and I visited New York long ago, when Color TV was an exotic new technology, and we took a tour of the NBC studios. One of the things our tour guide told us was that they would yell “The bird is loose” when the network’s trademark 3-hits-on-a-xylophone “n-B-c” combined with a peacock spreading his In Living Color plumage was leading into a show.
I have not watched this network in forever, so I will be spared from encountering this obvious snoozefest. Thank you for replying, Sammi.
It was the same week that The Beatles arrived in New York for their Shea Stadium concert. A pretty historic time.
